Patricia E. Salkin
Provost for the Graduate and Professional Divisions, Touro College
Patricia E. Salkin is the Provost for the Graduate and Professional Divisions at Touro College where she previously served as the Dean of the Jacob D. Fuchsberg Touro Law Center. She teaches land use law at Touro Law Center. Salkin is the author of more than one hundred books, articles and columns on land use and sustainable development law. Among her publications are: the 5-volume American Law of Zoning, 5th ed., the 4-volume New York Zoning Law and Practice, 4th edition, Land Use in a Nutshell, 2nd edition, and Climate Change and Sustainable Development in a Nutshell. Provost Salkin served two terms on U.S. EPA’s Environmental Justice Advisory Board. She was the long-time chair of the American Planning Association’s Amicus Curiae Committee, and she represents the ABA State and Local Government Law Section in the ABA House of Delegates, having served as Chair of the Section. Prior to joining Touro Law Center, Salkin was the Raymond & Ella Smith Distinguished Professor of Law at Albany Law School where she was also Associate Dean and Director of the Government Law Center.
