Molly Mowery
President, Wildfire Planning International

Molly Mowery is President and Founder of Wildfire Planning International LLC, a consulting practice dedicated to helping communities adapt to the new realities of wildfire. She has over fifteen years of experience working with communities on the challenges of sustainability, environmental planning, and the wildland-urban interface. In 2015, Molly co-developed the national Community Planning Assistance for Wildfire program to provide technical assistance to eligible communities across the United States. She designed the first national Land Use Planning for Wildfire course for FEMA, and is the lead author of the forthcoming American Planning Association publication, Planning the Wildland-Urban Interface. Molly serves as a director for the non-profit organization, Community Wildfire Planning Center.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Naropa University and a Master in City Planning degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Molly is a certified planner through the American Institute of Certified Planners.
